Borut Lenardič

Borut Lenardič, a founding member of Plasil, has been active in the optical fiber research, development and fabrication since 1986, having worked in different optical fiber facilities in Europe, while providing technology and start-up support to many customers around the world. Optacore, a company he established in 2001, for development of MCVD preform-making process and special doping methods, was sold to a laser making company in 2017. He helped establish Plasil in 2020, using his experience and knowledge, to start development of plasma-based preform-making technologies. He is working as a consultant and marketing specialist with partner companies and laboratories in Slovenia.
